Silem Foundation was born from a deep desire to make a lasting difference in the lives of the Haitian people. Moved by the immense challenges communities faced in accessing education, healthcare, and food, our founders took action. In 1985, in a small village in Haiti, a small group of dedicated individuals came together with a shared vision of hope and progress.
What began as a simple school in a small room secured with palm branches has since grown into 11 classrooms, symbolizing the resilience and determination of the community. From those humble beginnings, Silem Foundation has become a beacon of compassion and sustainable change—empowering families, strengthening communities, and building a brighter future for generations to come.
