Our Education Program strengthens the full learning ecosystem in Haiti by supporting students, equipping teachers, and developing student leadership. By investing in classrooms, educators, and school-based leadership development, we help children and communities build the skills, confidence, and stability needed to shape a better future.
Why This Program Matters
In many rural communities in Haiti, children face challenges that extend far beyond the classroom. Hunger, limited access to healthcare, under-resourced schools, and a shortage of trained educators all undermine learning outcomes. Teachers often work with minimal support, and structured leadership development opportunities for students are rare.
When these challenges are addressed in isolation, education cannot reach its full potential.
Silem Foundation takes a coordinated, long-term approach, ensuring that learning environments are strengthened, educators are supported, and students develop the skills and values needed to contribute positively to their communities.
